The FlowBudget app uses no cookies at all.
It is a native iOS app, so cookies and tracking technologies do not apply to it. This website is a separate matter, covered in section 4.
1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files that websites save on your device to remember preferences and track activity. They are used in web browsers.
2. FlowBudget and cookies
FlowBudget is a native iOS app, not a website. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, web beacons, or fingerprinting.
3. How data is stored
FlowBudget uses native Apple technologies, all local to the device:
- Local encrypted storage: your financial data stays private on your iPhone
- UserDefaults: app preferences and settings
- App Groups: data sharing between the app and widgets, always on-device
4. This website (getflowbudget.com)
The website is separate from the app, and this is what it uses:
- Strictly necessary: nothing beyond what is needed to serve the pages. No cookie is set for this.
- Audience measurement: Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without any identifier that follows you between sites.
- Optional measurement: Google Tag Manager, used only if you agree. Until you do, it is loaded in a mode that cannot write cookies or read anything from your device.
A banner asks for your choice only when the optional measurement is switched on. If it is off, no banner appears, because there is nothing to consent to.
5. Your choices
Consent is asked before anything optional loads, and refusing is the default: if you ignore the banner, nothing is enabled. You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie preferences link in the footer, and withdrawing is exactly as easy as giving. Clearing your browser storage for this site also resets the choice.
6. Tracking and advertising
Neither the app nor the website carries advertising, ad networks, social media plugins, or profiling that builds a picture of you as an individual. The app uses TelemetryDeck for anonymous, aggregated usage statistics via a GDPR-compliant, EU-hosted service that does not use cookies or identifiers traceable to you. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated date.
